Happy Monday – and a big ‘hello’ as well!

We’ve been back in the country a week now and life is beginning to slip back to normal – the kittens are home from their own holiday to the countryside, everything’s unpacked and we’re finally able to stay awake past 9pm. While we had an incredible adventure, it’s lovely to be home again. Well, other than this dreary Auckland rain – I didn’t miss that!

I hope you’ve all had a wonderful couple of weeks and enjoyed a fabulous weekend. Here are five things to help get your week off to a great start…

– I was absolutely attached at the hip (or hand) to my Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 the whole time we were travelling, and the photos we took with it are some of my most treasured souvenirs from our trip. If you have any adventures on the horizon then definitely think about taking one along (and check out Amazon for some great deals on film!)

– After being lucky enough to spend five weeks enjoying a second summer, it’s been a little tough returning home to a decidedly less colourful world. Which is why I was super excited to discover The Flower Project – a new subscription service in Auckland that delivers market-fresh flowers to your door. The best part? You receive an assortment of blooms rather than a bouquet, so get all the fun of arranging the flowers yourself! I can’t wait to get myself signed-up to this one.

– Speaking of plants, I can’t wait to give these bucket gardens from My Beloved Style a try – the perfect idea for while we try and work out the best spot for a ‘proper’veggie garden.

– Looking for a quick and delicious recipe to add to your repertoire? Then try this recipe for homemade black bean burgers – I made a batch last week and they are SO good!

– Finally, here’s a super cute video a friend shared with me that I’m sure you will love – featuring a cat, kittens and a whole lot of ducklings!
