Happy Monday!

Life is pretty exciting around here at the moment – after much anticipation (and planning!) our wedding is just days away. Friends have flown in from overseas, untold amounts of marshmallow have been made, and all the final details are coming together… I can’t wait to see all our planning come to life come Friday!

Straight after the wedding Kevin and I will be winging off on honeymoon at a mystery location. Yip, Kevin has been busy planning our honeymoon for months and hasn’t old me a thing about it! I’m itching to get to the airport and finally find out where we will be spending the next week – I’ll keep you posted!

I have some exciting things planned for the blog over the next couple of weeks which I can’t wait to share with you! While I have some delicious recipes of my own lined up, but more excitingly have some fabulous bloggers guest posting on the blog over the next few weeks – Laura from The Dizain Collective, Lydia from Lydia Bakes, and Melissa from Baking Makes Things Better. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled!

I hope life is just as exciting for you all at the moment. Here are five things to get your week off to a great start…

– Ever wanted to make a checkerboard cake, but couldn’t bear the thought of spending all that money on a pan? Then check out this post from Sprinklebakes – she shows you how to nail the checkerboard cake without a fancy pan!
